In the summer of 2018 I went together with my local scouting group to Sweden for a summer camp.
After almost two days of travelling through Germany and Sweden we arrived at our campsite in Ed, Dalsland.

We rented some canoes and paddeled across the many lakes and through the beautiful scenerys the landscape has to offer.
Due to the complete prohibition of fire of all kind because of the extreme drought in all of scandinavia this summer, we were not able to cook food or boil water. We had to make the best of it and ate cold food for about 8 days.

Besides canoeing through thick reed, exploring many new places and visiting lots of small islands where we spent our nights under the sky, we had beautiful sunrises aswell as sunsets.
After 8 days of canoeing we left the water and the island behind uns and returned to our campsite where we spent our first night in Sweden. We stayed another couple of days before we turned our backs on Sweden and started our way back to our home in the very south of Germany.
